Comments:    Since 1980, I have worked, finished my AA degree (plan to STILL go back and finish my BA and Masters!), have had many friends and fun experiences in the Valley until I moved away to Texas in 1996.

I married my first and only husband, Colin, on October 14, 1995 at The Church on the Way in Van Nuys where we met and attended. We decided to move to Texas in 1998 to be able to raise a family and for me to be able to afford to stay home with any children we might have. (Things were SO expensive in CA at that time...still are?)

Shortly thereafter in April 1999, my son, Liam, was born. He is a beautiful raven haired boy with bright blue eyes. One of the hardest things I've been through since graduation has had to do with him, however. In 2001, shortly before his 2nd birthday, he was diagnosed as high functioning autistic. I wouldn't trade him for the world, though, for he is the sweetest, purest child with a heart of gold and an imagination and sense of humor to match. My husband and I are very proud of his ability to succeed despite his disability, and we have definitely grown and become better people through the challenge.

In June of 2001, my daughter Delaney was born who is now 8. We call her Liam's Avenging Angel since she has a fiery personality and is intensely protective and helpful towards her big brother. She has a golden heart to match her brother's, and is giving, sincere and LOVES ANY kind of animal. Needless to say, both she and her brother are the delight of my life!

Just shy of three years ago, I opened up a babysitting business out of my home to bring in a little extra money for my daughter's private education. It is doing very well, and since I love children and love to be around them, it is a perfect fit for me.

SO, I have been living in Texas for 11 years now (first in the Houston area where I had the honor to work at NASA - very cool!), then in San Antonio (my fav. TX city) and now in the DFW area. Texas is open, beautiful in its own way but VERY HOT in the Summer. I miss "home" very much (the dry, cool nights the most!) and would love to move back one of these days. My son, Liam, asks me to pray for us to be able to move back to CA. We visited this June and he fell in love with it, like me.

Well, I hope "you all" are leading happy, fulfilled lives and I hope to be able to see some of you at the 30th reunion if I can slip away.

Be blessed, and thank you so much to Barbara Dooley and the other alumni who have worked so tirelessly to get this website up and in tip top shape. It is really awesome to get back in touch with this piece of my history! Thank you!
